Sargent & Greenleaf personnel were out in full force at this year's Associated Locksmiths of America trade show. The event, held in Baltimore, Maryland, drew locksmiths from across the US and around the world. Many of them stopped by the S&G booth to renew old acquaitances and see the latest security products.

The item that drew the most attention this year was a biometric lock that integrates a fingerprint reader with proven S&G electronic lock technology. The mechanism can be operated by fingerprint or code, or it can be set to require both a valid fingerprint and code before allowing access. The units at the Baltimore trade show were prototypes, with production models expected by the first quarter of 2005.
